I have seen a tendency in business users to make a list of use cases that could benefit from AI. This typically happens because of similar use cases found on the web or discussed at various conferences. While that is certainly good, it does not ensure success. It is extremely important in my opinion to drive AI by purpose. Identifying purpose for AI will mean understanding the purpose of the workflow / business processes you are responsible for. That in turn depends on the purpose of your organization. There are other parameters as well, but none in my opinion is as important as purpose. Driving by purpose allows for measurable success, alignment of vested interests of stakeholders, positive response to change management and most importantly business sponsorship. Understanding the purpose involves understanding the role your processes play in helping your organization achieve its mission (purpose). Drive your AI roadmap by purpose, and you will be one step closer to practical AI. #abhayPracticalAI #artificialintelligence #machinelearning
